3D Guidance medSAFE comprises an electronics unit with multiple transducer and interface options, and is used for the guidance of medical instruments with pulsed DC magnetic sensors.
Sensor Details:
3D Guidance’s miniaturized sensors are routinely deployed in medical instruments and catheters for safer and less intrusive tracking and localization. Here a 1.3 mm sensor is seen protruding from the working channel of a bronchoscope.
Sensors with sub-millimeter diameters are available to extend the reach of catheters and scopes deep into the periphery of organs and vessels. Acension supports a full range of sensors for minimally invasive procedures. Its new 0.3 mm sensor is the smallest magnetic sensor in the world. It was designed for vascular, urological and cardiac procedures. Flat Transmitter (left) “Metal-Immune” ±20 cm X, Y -10--46 cm Z coverage
Set-Up & Use: Our flat transmitter is unobtrusively placed beneath a patient to negate any possible distortion of measurements by ferrous metal in an OR or procedural table.
Mid-Range Transmitter (centre) 20-61cm X 15-30 cm Y, Z coverage
Set-up & Use: The mid-range transmitter is ideal for desktop applications in environments containing conductive metals.
Short-Range Transmitter (right) 20-36 cm X 8-15 cm Y, Z coverage
Set-up & Use: This small, light-weight transmitter is often mounted on an articulated arm that can be brought close to its sensors. Especially useful for high accuracy medical applications.
